"After a brief welcome from Beth and a representative from the National Trust, the feasting began. One of the joys of supper club dining is the opportunity to meet and talk with people from far and wide. The communal experience of eating together and sharing conversation (along with oohs and aahs as each course is served) has got to be one of life’s simplest, yet most satisfying, pleasures. Never more so than when sipping on a bottle of BYO red wine and wearing a winter coat and woolly hat. There’s definitely something to be said for strength (and warmth) in numbers."
